Duckbill check valves are of one-piece that keeps flow going in one direction and prevents backflow. They have elastomeric lips in the shape of a duckbill which allows this forward flow. The main advantage of duckbill check valves over other types of one-way valves is that duckbill check valves are self contained. Duckbill check valves allow free flow with positive differential pressure. With negative differential pressure, backflow is checked.
